Support

Most answers are in the app under Guide, in the Shepherd area. If yours is not, email us and a person replies — usually within a day or two.

Email: support@sheepchores.app. Tell us which device (iPhone or iPad), the iOS version, and what you expected to happen. Screenshots help; never send your PIN.

The Guide inside the app

Shepherd area › Guide has a topic for every feature — setting up the flock, kids and their sheep, creating and repeating chores, taking turns and up for grabs, routines, approvals, the Barn Store, money and Shear Day, the calendar, devices and family sharing, widgets, Siri, iCloud sync, notifications, the PIN, playful or plain words, the fridge chart, trust levels, unlock gates, timed goals, the wish list and more — each with steps, tips and questions.

Quick answers

My other device does not show the same flock.

Both devices must be signed into the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive on, and the app's iCloud switch on in Settings › iCloud. Open the app on both; the first sync of a large flock can take a minute. Settings › iCloud shows the last sync and any error in plain words. If this version is newer than the family's iCloud schema, Settings says so — update the other devices.

I forgot the parent PIN.

On a parent's iPhone, tap Forgot PIN on the pad and confirm with your device passcode or Face ID to set a new one. The family iPad never offers this on purpose; use your phone, and the new PIN syncs through iCloud Keychain.

I do not get notifications when a kid finishes a chore.

Notifications are requested only on devices set up as a parent's iPhone. Check Settings › Notifications in the app, then iOS Settings › Notifications › Sheep Chores. The device that finished the chore does not notify itself. Settings › Notifications in the app shows the last error, if any.

The co-parent's invitation does not open.

Install Sheep Chores on their phone first, then send the invitation again — a link opened before the app is installed goes nowhere. Copy the invitation link pastes it into any message. The other parent needs iCloud Drive on.

A kid tapped I did it! by mistake.

Oops — not done yet on the Done shelf puts it back. A parent can put any chore or whole routine back to to-do from the kid's screen with the PIN, from the calendar, or with Reset today on a routine.

I deleted a routine and the chores disappeared.

They are archived, not gone: Chores › Archived lists them and a tap restores one. History stays either way. Next time choose Delete, keep the steps as chores if you want them to stay on the boards.

How do I see the app with data in it?

Settings › Data › Add the sample family loads the Hillside Flock with a week of history. Remove it from the same screen.

How do I move everything to a new device?

Sign the new device into the same Apple Account, install the app, and open it. It joins the flock on its own. There is nothing to export or import.

I updated or reinstalled and part of the flock is missing.

Give iCloud a minute with the app open and online first. If something the earlier version synced is still missing, Settings › Data › Restore from the previous sync brings in what this family lacks and never writes over what is already here — kids keep their outfits, and anything deleted stays deleted.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find Sheep Chores — The Whole Flock and request a refund; Apple decides and pays it. After a refund the app goes back to the free plan and nothing you set up is deleted. On a new device or after a reinstall, Settings › Your plan › Restore Purchases brings a purchase back.

Found a bug? Have an idea?

Email support@sheepchores.app with the steps to see it. Ideas are welcome too — much of the app came from parents' reviews of other chore apps.
